Environmental Policy

BSI Assurance Mark ISO 14001BSI Assurance Mark ISO 14001Maxcon Industries has third party accreditation to ISO 14001:2004. Maxcon Industries recognises the importance of environmental issues and in particular gives much status to the following:
  • The impact of the project on the Global Environment;
  • The potential impact of the construction methods on the general site environment and perimeter 'ripple' effect; and
  • The potential impact of the end user on the facility with reguard to safety, easy functioning of operations and the general amenity of the work place.

Our objective is to maintain compliance with, and exceed the requirements of the State and Federal environment obligations. This is achieved through design and implementation of specific Environmental Management Plans for the construction phase.

We make our employees aware of their obligations and responsibilities and also seek to develop a workplace of environmental awareness. This is as essential as water conservation, treatment and delivery which are all integral parts of the environment in the community. This approach seeks to address all plant impacts including water, soil, and noise with specific emphasis on plant residuals.

All employees are given specific training concerning their environmental responsibilities and the performance of environmental measures are monitored. Regular environmental risk assessments are made.

Suppliers and subcontractors are also made aware of their obligations and held accountable through formal procedures.
